CTT Big4 News Azure Recently #MS007

Hello Friends, welcome to CTT News – Big4 Recently

AWS, IBM, Google & Azure – the Big4 Cloud Service providers are improving and introducing very frequently and it is hard to keep up to date ourselves without single source of information. Hence, in this series, we intend to address most important recent news of Big4 Cloud Platforms. You may save your valuable time by not searching recent updates of these cloud platforms from different individual websites. We hope, you will find this series interesting. Please visit specific Cloud provider news that you are interested in as following.

In this article, we will explore latest Azure Recently. So, lets jump on the updates.

Update on Stream Analytics

Integration with Azure Monitor

To improve the self-service troubleshooting experience, integration of Azure Stream Analytics with Azure Monitor is in preview. This integration provides a systematic way to deal with lost, late, or malformed data, while enabling efficient mechanisms to investigate errors caused by bad data.

Having immediate access to data that causes errors helps you quickly address problems. You can control how a job acts when errors occur in data, and persist relevant event data and operational metadata (for example, occurrence time and counts) in Azure Storage or Azure Event Hubs. You can use this data for diagnostics and troubleshooting offline.

You can also analyze data routed to Azure Storage by using the visualization and analytics capabilities of Azure Log Analytics.

Dashboards in Power BI

Azure Stream Analytics jobs can now output to the Power BI streaming datasets. For solutions that you build through Stream Analytics, you can take advantage of richly visual and dynamic dashboards with lower latency.

Stream Analytics tools for Visual Studio

To help maximize end-to-end developer productivity across authoring, testing, and debugging Stream Analytics jobs, we’re rolling out a public preview of Azure Stream Analytics tools for Visual Studio.

One of the tools’ key capabilities is local testing on client machines to enable true offline query building and testing experiences. The tools also include features like IntelliSense (code completion), syntax highlighting, error markers, and source control integrations.

JavaScript UDFs

With Azure Stream Analytics, customers can combine the power of JavaScript with the simplicity and pervasiveness of SQL.

Historically, Stream Analytics let developers express their real-time query logic by using a simple SQL-like language. To support more expressive custom code and help customers implement advanced scenarios, Stream Analytics now supports user-defined functions (UDFs) via JavaScript. With this feature, customers can write their custom code in JavaScript, and easily invoke it as part of their real-time stream processing query.

Native support for geospatial functions

Azure Stream Analytics customers can now easily build solutions for scenarios such as connected cars, fleet management, and mobile asset tracking.

Developers can use built-in geospatial functions in their stream-processing logic to define geographical areas. Developers can evaluate incoming geospatial data for containment, proximity, and overlap, and then generate alerts or start necessary workflows.

These geospatial capabilities are in alignment with the GeoJSON specification.

Azure DevTest Labs available in Azure Government

Azure DevTest Labs is now available in Azure Government.

With this availability, US government agencies and their partners can modernize their legacy infrastructure to build fast, easy, and lean environments.
