CTT Big4 News Azure Recently #MS014

Hello Friends, welcome to CTT News – Big4 Recently

AWS, IBM, Google & Azure – the Big4 Cloud Service providers are improving and introducing very frequently and it is hard to keep up to date ourselves without single source of information. Hence, in this series, we intend to address most important recent news of Big4 Cloud Platforms. You may save your valuable time by not searching recent updates of these cloud platforms from different individual websites. We hope, you will find this series interesting. Please visit specific Cloud provider news that you are interested in as following.

In this article, we will explore latest Azure Recently. So, lets jump on the updates.

Public preview: Virtual network service endpoint policies for Azure Storage

Azure virtual network service endpoint policies enable you to prevent unauthorized access to Azure service resources from your virtual network. You can now allow access to only specific Azure service resources (for example, Azure Storage accounts), by using endpoint policies, over service endpoints.

Virtual network service endpoint policies provide more granular control for Azure service traffic from your virtual networks, in combination with the Network Security Group (NSG) service tags, for Azure services.

The feature is available in preview, for Azure Storage, in West Central US and West US2.

Stream Analytics: User-defined custom repartition count

In Azure Stream Analytics, users can optionally specify the number of partitions of a stream when performing repartitioning. This will enable better performance tuning when the partition key can’t be changed to upstream constraints, or there’s a fixed number of partitions for output, or partitioned processing is needed to scale out to a larger processing load.

Stream Analytics: Live data testing in Visual Studio

Visual Studio tooling for Azure Stream Analytics further enhances the local testing capability to help users test their queries against live data or event streams from cloud sources such as Azure Event Hubs or IoT Hub. This helps developers test their queries without having to stop and restart their jobs, so they’re more efficient.

Stream Analytics: Output partitioning to Blob storage by custom date and time formats

Azure Stream Analytics users can now partition output to Azure Blob storage based on custom date and time formats.

This feature greatly improves downstream data-processing workflows by allowing fine-grained control over the blob output, especially for scenarios such as dashboarding and reporting. It also enables stronger alignment with downstream Hive-supported formats and conventions when consumed by services such as Azure HDInsight or Azure Databricks.

Thats it friends, keep visiting to follow major cloud vendors.
